I love a contest!

I recently started writing for Edible LA, my first submission will appear in the summer issue, so I thought this would be a great contest to enter. See the instructions and details below!

SEA TO PLATE

Ever dreamed of going fishing with a famous chef and having him prepare the catch? That dream could become a reality if you win our contest. . .

Edible Los Angeles has invited award-winning chef Michael Cimarusti of Providence to leave his kitchen and set sail for a sea-to-plate story to be featured in our summer issue. (It actually didn't take much to get him to agree as he's an avid angler and bemoans the fact that he doesn't get out on the water nearly enough.)

With the boat booked--and the date set, April 21, 2009--Michael then invited a few of his chef friends along for the ride. Too many chefs spoil the broth, and all that, but hey, the more the merrier on the high seas! Oh, the responsibility of taking the creme de la creme of LA food talent out on a boat to fish the local waters! "You're gonna need a bigger boat."

Who better to write our story than esteemed poet/chef/writer Amy Scattergood? She enthusiastically signed on to fish with Michael, having once referenced in an article she wrote his knot-tying skills gained from fishing.

If you and a friend would like to join the fishing trip please leave us a message using the Edible Los Angeles contact form on their website, at:

Enter before midnight on April 16, 2009. The winner will be drawn at random. If you win you will be notified on April 17 via email. Don't forget your sea legs!
