Sour cherry delight.

Fontodi, Chianti Classico, 2006.

A really great vintage in Tuscany this was a great wine for $29.99. I think I nailed it in my blind tasting too if remember correctly, so they clearly made this one right. I love the ripe sour cherry fruit, moderately astringent tannins, dusty minerality and firm but silky tannins. I'm getting thirsty just thinking about it.

Luckily, it's pretty widely available and probably is lurking around in some smaller shops too...

$29.99 Wine House
$27.99 K&L
$32.99 Wally's

29.99? I got it for 15.99 through Garagiste a few months ago. Needs lots of time in cellar.
